Been working away on a bunch of new material... Not posting it on sursumcorda as I have through various aliases in the past... trying to create some scarcity given the current demo shopping onslaught... Very excited that CG and Vamp are managing me... www.vampmusicsource.com... CG text messaged me from NYC, last night, and apparently met David Fricke... Fun.
Trying to gather final submissions together for the next Sursumcorda Compilation Mix CD... Label mates, Samson and Rico, are meeting with me tonight to discuss release plans... Going to tour with Casey and Craig the week after Halloween... Joining Casey on a few feasible dates in the Midwest... Still haven't had final confirmation on doing the gig with Matthew Dear and Swayzak... Listening to genius ableton live set by Casey's "genius" friend, Dan, from Fargo... who's apparently more interested in visual art than music... that bastard! Great stuff... Also, the new Hollydrift disc, now available on Sursumcorda, is out of this world.
Planning a mixing mastering retreat with Woody for the CD/mp3 DJ mixes of the upcoming Communique Acid House Compilation (distributed by Intergroove)... Both, Samson and I, have tracks on the compilation... Bunches of my stuff and other sursumcorda artists' submitted for Czech indie film...
New Villalobos full-length is in heavy rotation... not hitting me as hard as his first... less apparent hooks, but more adventurous percussion concepts... I'm pretty sure I hear Reaktor all over the MF-er... Would love to find an interview disclosing his toolset...

September was a traveling month... some touring but mostly traveling. October - back to the grindstone.
Completed first track with St. Vitus... and my first acid house track for Woody's compilation.
Submitted several Dave Wesley tracks and Sursumcorda artist tracks to Czech indie film production.
Goodbye The Mayhem Lecture Series... Officially just Dave Wesley now...
Zillions of Ken Wilber Integral Naked interviews in car on long roadtrips... Integral life... Bring it on. Am I kidding myself, or have I always been at a yellow or turquoise level? Very interested in reading Erik Davis, after a couple of interesting Twilight Generation focused conversations with Wilber... Excellent commentary on technology, spirituality, and post-boomer culture.
Excited to work with new management... Demo campaign in progress.
Read "Democracy Matters"... Vote... Help save our country/planet... Help morph America further into its progressive potential...
Integrate and transcend.

Wow... it's been a long while since I've checked in here... Lots of great stuff going on musically... Contemplating dropping The Mayhem Lecture Series alias and "coming out" as just plain old "Dave Wesley"... maybe with an "aka The Mayhem Lecture Series"... Strong advice from a good friend in the biz...
Going on tour with Woody McBride and St. Vitas for several shows in Wisconsin/Chicago area, next week. Going to be DJ-ing and playing some guitar... Wow. I'm psyched.
Fargo DJ gig last weekend was spiritually amazing. The vibe up there is so relaxed and open. Love it. Great hanging with Samson, Casey, Woody, Amanda, and Martin...
Many many tracks in the can and in progress that haven't been posted on the site... Need to get to that. Working up a demo campaign to several European labels... Things are cooking. The Sursumcorda Compilation Mix #1 has been sent out to a couple of big labels across the pond as well...
Latest fascination is underground moody house... don't even know if there's a real category there... Laurent Garnier and Michael Mayer are big influences on track production and DJ style these days...
Meeting with Jay Buzenberg (minimal tech DJ) this afternoon... just to check in and see what's up...

Making a bunch of tracks... Most are behaving and staying on the minimal side... which, for some reason, takes some balls on my part... Also, started a collaboration with DJ Retroblast, last night... Fun time and very unique output. Possible names for the collaborative project:
Trident White and the Glass Dick (my favorite)
Glass Dick in the Secret Rock
MPLS (this one will most likely win out)...
